What We Do

Effective Altruism Cambridge is a student group based in Cambridge University.

We run speaker talks, discussion groups, workshops, and research groups all about trying to work out how we can best help others.

Community Health

As part of an effort to be as inclusive and welcoming as possible, we wrote Community Guidelines for EA Cambridge and are making a conscious effort to make sure members of our community follow these.

We are however well-aware that the above guidelines alone are unlikely to be enough to prevent anyone from feeling uncomfortable, overwhelmed, anxious, unwelcome, unsafe, or from facing mental health problems in the context of our community. If you ever feel that way, please reach out to one of us (option to do it anonymously). We will do our best to support you and help prevent similar things from happening again.

I can’t find an event!

Most of our events are either at the Meridian. Google Maps here, What3Words: Vouch.sparks.double

Address: 53-54 Sidney Street, Cambridge, CB2 3HX

Directions: Our entrance is the white door located between Trailfinders and Town and Gown. The door should be unlocked, but if not, please press the buzzer labelled 'Meridian' to be let in. We are located on the third floor. On the third floor, there is another doorbell to ring.

Accessibility: Please note that our main entrance has three flights of stairs. If you need wheelchair access, or any other help getting in, please have a low bar for texting Jian Xin at 07539109278 or by emailing jianxin@eacambridge.org so we accommodate you! We are always open to changing venues.
